A piece of Switzerland in the heart of Melbourne
Part of Multicultural Melbourne since 1899
The club was established to serve Swiss migrants as a place to get together, maintain a link with their country of origin and to foster and preserve the cultural and linguistic inheritance of Switzerland.
Ideally situated in the heart of Melbourne, the club occupies a beautiful building that is a fine example of early twentieth century American Romanesque style. Over two floors, the club offers excellent facilities, be it in the club restaurant on the first floor, or on the Second Floor, where a modern and stylish function venue is available for our interest groups, or for private and corporate functions.
Participate in Swiss Culture & Traditions
The Swiss Club and its various Interest Groups organise a variety of functions throughout the year: from family picnics, hiking or sports event to weekly member nights to gala dinners. Celebrating Swiss National Day and other cultural activities such as Jass, dancing and yodeling are all part of our activities.
There is something for all ages, from the SwissKids group for school children to senior members’ activities. The Club’s membership is varied and about 40% of members are of non-Swiss background. All welcome!
